An Independent Schools Queensland draft ‘Discussion Paper’ examines curriculum innovations in schools that differentiate our programs. “In a globalised world of rapidly changing circumstances, young people now need to be much better prepared for living, working and thriving in contexts that are vastly different to those of even twenty years ago. Increasing evidence points to the need for young people to develop skills in effective communication across distance and across borders, collaboration, agility in thinking, abilities to adapt rapidly and most importantly preparedness to innovate and create opportunities. Young people are learning these skills, often it would seem, outside schooling…The Paper asks, ‘What is your school doing to prepare students for their globalised future?’
