The School has been working hard to communicate with students, staff and parents in a range of ways in gathering data for the School’s ongoing progression. Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ) produced our parents’ survey data from 2018 in their ‘What Parents Want’ survey that was forwarded to our community in Term 3 last year. Additionally, students and staff have been extensively surveyed in 2019; and parents meetings and information events have been held this year. I think this data gathering and meeting time has been very helpful for our community. I am grateful for your involvement. Further to this series of events and communications, the School is again working with ISQ in their highly regarded programme, ‘ISQ School Improvement Check’. The ISQ Reviewers have received relevant documentation about our School programmes and organisational details; and meetings with the Reviewers are being held this week with our staff. We look forward to these meetings; and their Findings that will become available within the next two or three weeks, for the School’s ongoing improvements. The School Board has commissioned this Review, and Executive Team will be responsible for implementing the Action Points over the coming weeks and months. I have no doubt this positive process will be helpful for the students’ learning progression at CCPS, and the School’s ongoing progression. I congratulate Layla Bosomworth (Yr 9) and Anna McLaren (Yr 10) for gaining Highly Commended awards and Mary Stewart (Yr 7) for the Modern Language Teachers Assoc Qld (MLTAQ) Speaking Competition in Japanese.
