It is always useful to step back for a moment and think of the broader panorama, particularly when you live on the shores of the Pacific Ocean with its glorious sunrises and vistas. Our school has expanded its international program with our students experiencing countries such as Vietnam, India and Nepal, Canada, Japan, and Scotland. Some of our individual stars have also participated in sports in the United States of America and New Zealand; whilst other Year 12 recent Graduates have had fabulous European travels. Additionally, we have hosted many students from some of these countries including China; and we have long term students from Brazil, Germany, Japan, China, Macau and Hong Kong with us. The perspectives of our children are much different to those experienced by most when I was in school. Who knows where these international friends and connections will take them. We farewell our friends from Rundle College Canada this week, Samantha, Anthony and Daniel. We also welcome the return from Term 1 Long Service Leave of Ms Matsumoto; and Mrs Tralau departs for Term 2 Leave, replaced by Ms Goodwin who has worked for the School during 2017 and in Term 1 this year. Each Teacher’s individual talents will missed due to the unique strong relationships they form with each student at our school. We look forward to the refreshed perspectives they bring to us on their return.
