At this time in any busy school, parents, their sons and daughters, and their Teachers, can start to feel a little short on sleep and patience with their fellow travellers. With the intensity of the expectations and the social interactions we experience in our close School community, I think it’s fair to see that flu and tummy bugs, assessment anxiety, social technologies’ temptations, and weeks of routine, do take their toll. In times of stress, I’ve always followed the mantra of making sure that I do what I need to do, and get that right. ‘Head down, tail up’, might be the appropriate cliche, or ‘Look after your own game’. We look forward to next Thursday’s Senior School social event at The Gold Coast which aims at helping the children relax together away from the demands of assessments, etc., before they enjoy their two week break.
