My first point is not exactly about curriculum, but as a School where much of our learning happens away from the classroom, our P&F’s ‘Soiree’ on Saturday 2 September, should include many fascinating moves. We look forward to welcoming you to School for a great night of fun and frivolity. Our wonderful P&F team will be communicating further details about the night with you.   On Monday, I was privileged to attend the investiture of the new Chancellor of the University of the Sunshine Coast, Sir Angus Houston. The Governor of Queensland, His Excellency the Hon Paul de Jersy, installed the new Chancellor and he remarked how important this educational institution is to the development of south-east Queensland. He commented that its alignment with the newly opened Sunshine Coast University Hospital, are keys in the rapid population growth and development of our region, which he is delighted to observe.
