I’ve been enjoying seeing our Year 12s working away at their QCS Tests this week. They might not have been enjoying themselves so much, but maybe we gain some pleasure out of others’ pain. That is, I haven’t had any exams to sit since university days so I’m happy comfortably watching their struggles. Perhaps there is pleasure at feeling relieved that you aren’t experiencing their pain. The QCS Test Writing Task theme this year was ‘Seeing Things’. So what was I seeing during their Writing Task? Oddly enough I saw a room of happy, calm, immaculately attired, well organised and well prepared, outstanding young Australians, working hard to make their mark in their exams and for their futures. They are fine examples for our school to follow in their future footsteps.
