Junior Golf Champion to take on the World

A huge congratulations to Year 8 student Jensen W. on a phenomenal performance at the Australian Junior Age Division Tournament held at Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast last week. Up against an international field of top junior golfers, the event was held over 3 days and is also a Junior Golf Scoreboard and a Global Junior Golf Rankings event. Jensen competed in the 11-12 years boys division. He was up in the rankings from day one shooting -1 under par first day, -2 under par second day and went into the final day leading with a 1 shot lead. Jensen played an outstanding three rounds of golf to end up winning his age division at -3 under par for the tournament (a new record for his age division). This has now qualified him to compete in world junior events in Las Vegas this year and Ireland next year representing Australia in his age division.
