About the Opportunity
Caloundra City Private School (CCPS) invites applications from passionate and innovative educators for the position of STEM and Mathematics Teacher, commencing TERM 2 2025 for a contract position until Term 3. This is a part-time position (0.7 FTE), with scheduled time off on whole day Monday and Friday afternoon. The role has the potential to grow, with opportunities to expand into additional teaching loads in the P–10 Mathematics and/or STEM space, depending on school needs and candidate expertise.
About the Role
We are seeking a versatile and committed educator to deliver high-quality teaching across the following subjects and year levels:
- Mathematics (Prep to Year 6) – Foundational to upper primary numeracy, with an emphasis on fluency and reasoning.
- STEM (Years P–6) – Project-based and inquiry-driven units that foster critical thinking and creativity.
- Digital Technologies (Years 7–10) – Including courses such as 09/10MEDA, 09/10DIGA, 08DIGB, 08DIGA, and 08IDSA, focusing on digital systems, design thinking, coding, and media arts.
This is an ideal position for an educator who enjoys teaching across a range of levels and disciplines in a personalised learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Demonstrated ability to teach Mathematics and STEM across primary and lower secondary year levels.
- A strong working knowledge of the Australian Curriculum in Mathematics, Digital Technologies, and cross-disciplinary STEM.
- A passion for hands-on, problem-based learning approaches that connect concepts to real-world contexts.
- The capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues while taking initiative in curriculum planning and delivery.
- A commitment to professional growth, innovation, and data-informed practice.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current Queensland College of Teachers registration (or eligibility to obtain).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and a STEM or Mathematics-related field.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
