About the role
Caloundra City Private School, located in Pelican Waters on the Sunshine Coast (QLD 4551), is seeking a passionate and experienced Sports Coordinator to join their team. This part-time role involves coordinating and managing all sports-related activities and events at the school.
The position is approximately 39 weeks per year, with an expected commitment of 5–6 hours per day. Daily start and finish times, as well as the scheduling of consecutive workdays, are negotiable in consultation with the school and aligned with strategic requirements.
What you’ll be doing
- Plan, organise and manage the school’s sports programme, including interschool and intraschool competitions
- Coordinate the training and development of student sports teams and athletes
- Liaise with coaches, referees, and other external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of sporting events
- Promote and encourage student participation in sports activities
- Maintain accurate records and statistics for all sports teams and events
- Manage the sports equipment and facilities to ensure they are well-maintained
- Support the overall sports strategy and vision of the school
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience in sports coordination or management, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong organisational and event management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, coaches, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of various sports rules and regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Passion for promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among students
