As we look ahead to 2025, Caloundra City Private School (CCPS) is excited to welcome four outstanding educators to our teaching team. Each of them brings a wealth of experience, unique skills, and a shared passion for personalised, project-based learning that aligns perfectly with our school’s vision of fostering transferable skills, self-efficacy, and early engagement in the world of work.

Tanya McCall – English Teacher

Tanya joins us from Glenaeon Rudolph Steiner School, where she led Drama, Pastoral Care, and Year 11 mentoring. Tanya’s impressive background includes directing productions such as Les Misérables and designing HSC and Years 7–10 Drama curriculum. Prior to this, she taught Senior English and Drama at Noosa Pengari Steiner School, directing innovative productions like Boy Girl Wall and Alice in Lala Land. Tanya’s passion for fostering creativity and pastoral care ensures she inspires a love of learning in her students.

Dr Felicity Masters – Science Teacher (Chemistry/Biology)

Dr Masters brings a dynamic combination of teaching experience and scientific research. Most recently, she taught Science and Agriculture at Dakabin State High School, where she introduced aquaponics and aquaculture into the Year 7 curriculum. Felicity’s previous leadership roles at Bwgcolman Community School highlight her experience in curriculum development and student engagement. With a background in cell biology and genetics research at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Felicity connects real-world science with classroom learning, inspiring curiosity and hands-on exploration.

Andrew Aldous – Legal Studies and Business Teacher

Andrew joins us from Waverley Christian College, where he has excelled as Head of Department and Year Level Coordinator. A recipient of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Teacher of the Year nomination, Andrew is renowned for guiding students to achieve top results, with many performing in the top 2% at Year 12. His expertise in curriculum development and mentoring future educators highlights his commitment to high-quality learning. Andrew’s focus on character development, time management, and fostering excellence extends beyond academics, as he’s also led school sports teams to championship success.

Megan Hampson – Mathematics Methods Teacher

Megan is an accomplished Mathematics educator with a passion for Senior Mathematics and Mathematical Methods. With experience teaching Years 7–12 Mathematics at all levels, she has successfully led Year 8 Mathematics and coordinated Year 10 Math Methods programs. Megan’s innovative teaching includes inquiry-based approaches and project-based learning (PBL), creating engaging problem-solving opportunities for her students. Outside the classroom, Megan’s leadership in sport includes coaching Volleyball, GPS Tennis, and founding a Water Polo program from the ground up. Her enthusiasm for extracurricular involvement makes her a well-rounded and inspiring educator.
