Given it is my last week for the year I thought I would reflect on the year that’s been. It has been a huge year of transition and change for our school and community in 2019 and this will continue into 2020 with the strategic improvement plan being implemented and the appointment of our new Principal and other staff members. I have really enjoyed working at CCPS this year since the beginning of term two and am grateful for the support I’ve received from many staff members. I hit the ground running in this newly developed role of Wellbeing Coordinator and have molded it in the best way I see fit to support our students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. I have worked with close to 30 students one on one and many more in group settings. I have presented workshops to students and staff, presented on various wellbeing topics at assemblies each fortnight, written a weekly newsletter, introduced our amazing online wellbeing resource SchoolTV, as well as our lovely therapy dog Winter and have been part of the executive team who are always striving to keep our school functioning well with a positive culture in mind. Thank you for a wonderful year, it has been a pleasure getting to know the CCPS community and I look forward to continuing this journey into 2020 and beyond.
