Our exciting next phase of the School’s Built Environment is about to commence with the Multipurpose Hall’s (MPH) construction commencing in a few weeks’ time in September. In the proposed timeline, Semester 2 2017 will include the opening of this magnificent facility for the children and Teachers to fully utilise. More information about the timelines and ceremonies around this exciting stage will be released soon.   The implications of the MPH are highly significant. Within the MPH will be undercover sports courts lined for netball, basketball, futsal and volleyball. Specialist Music practice room facilities; Drama classroom; a stage for whole school assemblies, and drama and creative arts performances; staffroom for HPE/Sport and Creative Arts; full changerooms and amenities for students; sportsgear storage; a kitchen for supporting entertaining events; and whole school seating facilities, will all be included. The unknowns perhaps are the the uplifted mood and enthusiasm that will eventuate for students, staff (and parents) that this wonderful new set of facilities will bring for CCPS. Extra purpose built facilities for Music, Drama, and for our HPE and sports will further extend our students in their learning in these domains. The Science classrooms in Fraser can be fully allocated to Science study. Whole School functions can be more easily accommodated. These are only some examples of the benefits the MPH will bring to current Year 11s and younger students.
