Sunshine Coast Council has organized a brilliant educational opportunity, a Youth Cultural Exchange with our Sister City, Xiamen, located on the east coast of China. This wonderful week long experience for any of our students in Years 9 to 11 will take place 6 to 14 April next year. Each of our students has been given a letter with details of the opportunity to visit Xiamen and have a reciprocal Hosting of a student from the school Children’s Palace, Xiamen, later in 2014. The Itinerary includes students participating in classes at Children’s Palace, an extra-curricular centre studying music, foreign languages, art and sports. Additionally, participants will Gulangyu Island a former Foreign Embassy enclave; the International Music School; Xiamen Shinegood Culture Gallery; and others.
