Junior School News - 26 March

As you have been informed by Mrs Cuthbert, in light of the current situation with COVID-19 the School has decided to adjust its term dates and finish Term 1 on Friday, 27 March. This will make Term 1 a 9 week term. The plan is to change Term 2 from a 9 week term to a 10 week term and so the last day of Term 2 will be Friday, 26 June. Term 2 will commence for students on Tuesday, 21 April. If we are not able to open physically, we will provide online teaching and learning for all students. This current plan means no learning time is lost for students.

Sport and Outdoor Education Update

In Saturday’s Courier Mail, Q Weekend, William McInnes wrote about the beautiful way that a mother explained to her three young children about why people are wearing masks.  It reminded me that these are challenging times for young children who are being bombarded with negativity 24/7.  The children pick bits and pieces of what they hear and then this becomes parts of their conversations.
